The Red Bluff Community Band repertoire consists of traditional and contemporary music which includes marches, show tunes and innovative works by many current composers. In addition to playing pieces from our own music library, our director will search for and purchase new music - with approval from our Band members and officers.
Music stands and chairs are available for rehearsals and performances, but you will need to bring your music clips or clothespins to keep your music from blowing and a hat to keep the sun out of your eyes.
To meet our expenses for the purchase of music and supplies we sometimes receive payment for performances and often sell tickets for formal concerts, and may promote fund raisers for special needs.
The Red Bluff Community Band performs for approximately 20 community events each year in Red Bluff including Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Veteran's Day, local city picnics and fundraisers well as more formal concerts once or twice each year.
The Band rehearses each Monday evening from 7 PM until 9 PM at the Senior - Center located at 1500 S. Jackson, Red Bluff, CA. Members should arrive to set up and warm up by 6:45 PM. Each rehearsal is a lesson given by our Band Director that provides us all an opportunity to grow in musicianship, skill and just plain enjoyment of good music. Regular attendance at rehearsals is important so we can learn from each other and prepare for performances.
